Zone 3 Hardy Grasses
A mix of Native North American and Eurasian grasses that are hardy to -40 °C (-40 °F). A great grouping for our friends who garden in Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Val d’Or and Labrador City. This grouping has vibrant green to blue-green foliage, and a lovely contrast of delicate to plumed flowers. 4 ornamental grasses in combo. Plant varieties depend on availability.
One of each:
- Sporobolus heterolepis – Prairie Dropseed. 0.9 m (3 ft) tall. Vibrant green foliage and pink-green flowers.
- Chasmanthium latifolium – Northern Sea Oats. 1.5 m (5 ft) tall. Mid-green foliage that turns yellow in winter. Highly decorative oat-like, green flower.
