Riverbank Grape is a woody climber, grown for its edible grapes, and used as a rootstock for the common grape, V. vinifera. Leaves are fine-tipped, with coarsely toothed margins and heart shaped bases. Green flowers bloom in spring and summer. Produces fruit varying in colour from black and purple to amber August to October. It grows to 33 ft tall. Native to North America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
