Native to Eastern Asia and Russia, Sem False Spirea (Sorbaria sorbifolia 'Sem') is grown for its early fern like leaves and fuzzy flowers. New growths emerge with reddish-orange tips turning into a spectacular greenish-yellow foliage as they age. The white flowers bloom in June and July. This deciduous shrub grows to 5 ft in height and width, working well as a hedge or specimen. Very attractive to beneficial insects.
