Native to the  Northern United States Chasmanthium latifolium is extremely hardy. It is a a loosely tufted clumping grass with graceful drooping flower heads. The highly decorative oat-like green flower heads age to bronze by late summer. Flowers are visually delicate and shimmer and rustle in the wind. Lance-shaped foliage turns yellow-gold in winter. Ideal for containers and arrangements, borders and woodland settings. Partners beautifully with bamboo. Of interest from June through October.
